I ran separate 12-week cycles of both tesamorelin and ipamorelin (6 months apart) to compare their effects on body composition. Here are my findings:
**Tesamorelin (1.5mg daily):** - VAT reduction: ~15% (DEXA confirmed) - Sleep quality: Minimal impact - Side effects: Mild joint pain weeks 2-4 - Cost: Higher
**Ipamorelin (250mcg 3x daily):** - VAT reduction: ~8% (DEXA confirmed) - Sleep quality: Significantly improved - Side effects: Essentially none - Cost: Lower
**My conclusion:** If your primary goal is visceral fat reduction and you can afford it, tesamorelin is superior. If you want overall wellness benefits with fewer sides, ipamorelin is the better choice.
